I was really inspired by this article by Spotify’s lead designer, Tobias van Schneider.
In a nutshell, it explains that great things come out of play. Ditch reality. Don’t think about scalability or practicality. Just do something because it feels good and don’t paralyze or limit your creative self by jumping to logistics right off the bat.
This really resonated with me because I’m too familiar with feeling stuck. I can’t write a song because I feel like it sounds dumb. I can’t start a painting because I feel like I have no original ideas. I can’t design because I feel like it has to have an entire business plan.
Thanks Tobias for pushing this awesome idea. You rock.
