I went to Brazil for three weeks knowing that I’d return to a somewhat undefined job. While my job situation is fuzzier than it usually is, this has, to some extent, always been the case.
Why the fuzzy job? Marketo is a fast growing company with evolving needs. I understand why I was hired to be a UX technical writer, then was made an associate PM, and was then made a UX designer/project manager. The one thing I wonder about though, is how do other companies address the issue of making employees fit the mold of the companies needs every quarter? Every company changes. How do you anticipate that change? How do you know when it’s time to let certain positions go because you need different skill sets? Is there any way to know?
